Sphoxo LLC. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our” or ” SPHOXO”) is the company that operates the golf scorecard builder application cards.sphoxo.com found in sphoxo.com web site. SPHOXO transformed the traditional paper golf score-card into an innovative smart-card designed with the cards builder application cards.sphoxo.com

WHAT personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website, blog or application?

When you register, sign in for a plan on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your, user name, email address (which will be used as your login ID), and age (which we use to control you are over 13 year old),
If and when we would ship you our products or services, we would ask your first name and last name and mailing address.
Credit cards information are not visible by our employees and are not kept in our servers and systems as we use PayPal services.

Gender, Country and Handicap are optional information we collect to better understand our customers and community demographics. You can alter and correct your information in your profile to keep it updated and accurate.

How does our site handle ‘do not track’ signals?
We try to honor do not track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. Your password responsibility
You are responsible for the security of your Customer ID and passwords. Best practice recommendations are to keep them in a safe place and do not share them with others. Change your passwords from time to time. Do not keep the session unattended and log out after your session ends.

SPHOXO stores the information provided for an indefinite amount of time in one or more databases directly or indirectly maintained by SPHOXO. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect the confidentiality of the information. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we make every effort to prevent it. Any other sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, collected for commercial transactions, is encrypted prior to transmission by you to SPHOXO. We use e-commerce PayPal services therefore we do not see your credit card information, therefore we do not store it nor keep it.

Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices SPHOXO will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur: We will do our best to try to notify the users via email within 7 business days. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
